Fully funded postdoctoral position to develop a project in the broad field of English-medium instruction (EMI) at the Division for Language and Communication.

About us
Department of Communication and Learning in Science research focuses on learning, communication and knowledge production in multilingual, technologically mediated and scientific higher-education contexts. The position is part of the internationalization of higher education research group.
What you will do
- Plan, conduct and manage the proposed research project with a high degree of independence
- Collect, analyse and interpret data; produce high-quality publications; present internationally
- Contribute to dissemination beyond academia and to the research environment
- Teaching/supervision opportunities normally corresponding to no more than 20%
Project proposal
Applications require a concise project proposal of no more than 500 words (exclusive of references) making a substantive contribution to EMI research; proposals only incidentally situated in English-taught contexts will not be competitive.
Contract terms
Temporary full-time employment for two years with possibility of one-year extension. Physical presence required; valid residence permit by start date.

Requirements
Mandatory
- Doctoral degree or equivalent foreign degree in a field relevant to the proposed project (e.g. applied/educational linguistics or educational science), met no later than employment decision
- Very strong documented written and verbal English

- Research engagement with EMI as central phenomenon
