What we process

• Job listing content copied from official institutional sources for display on the site
• Standard web server and hosting logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) operated by our hosting provider
• Privacy-friendly aggregate site and conversion analytics operated by Vercel, including page views, filter use, and outbound apply clicks
• First-party retention funnel events (related-job clicks, saves, alert signups, saved-page returns, alert-email clicks, and apply clicks), stored with a one-way daily hash of IP address and user agent plus optional acquisition tags from the URL (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign). We do not keep the raw IP for this purpose
• Weekly “most viewed” and “most Apply clicks” lists, counted with a one-way daily hash of IP address and user agent. These counts are unique listing views and Apply-button clicks on this site, not completed university applications, and we do not keep the raw IP for this purpose
• Jobs you save on a listing, stored only in this browser on this device. We do not receive or sync that shortlist
• If you request job alerts, your email address, chosen frequency, and selected job filters until you unsubscribe
• Advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or device identifiers only according to your consent choices. Direct sponsor reporting uses a one-way daily visitor hash and does not retain your raw IP address
• Emails you send to hello@researchjobseurope.com (corrections, reports, partnership enquiries)

What we do not do

• We do not require login to browse or save listings
• We do not invent personal details of supervisors or applicants
• We do not allow payment to influence organic job ranking

Advertising choices

Clearly labelled direct sponsorships do not require advertising cookies. Programmatic advertising is loaded only when enabled and permitted through our consent platform. Google and other approved advertising vendors may process data under their own policies. You can revisit your choices through the consent control shown by that platform. Alert retention and deletion

Alert emails use double opt-in. Every message includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribed records are retained only as needed to honour the opt-out and are periodically deleted. You may also request deletion using the contact address below.
