About the research project
Explore future aircraft concepts for civil and defence applications, combining conceptual design, multidisciplinary optimization and high-fidelity aerodynamic analysis—including unconventional configurations, electric/hydrogen fuel integration, emerging technologies and novel propulsion. Collaborate with Swedish aerospace researchers and industrial partners.
Contract terms
Temporary full-time employment for two years with possibility of one-year extension. Physical presence required; valid residence permit by start date.

Requirements
Mandatory
- Doctoral degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, applied mechanics, fluid dynamics or a closely related field
- Demonstrated independent research and peer-reviewed publications
- Strong written and verbal English
- Collaborative, scientifically creative mindset; ability to work across disciplines and with industrial partners

- Computational models and numerical methods for aerospace research
- Aircraft conceptual/preliminary design, MDO, computational aerodynamics, performance, propulsion–airframe integration
- Teaching or supervision experience
