About us
At the Division of Energy Technology, researchers develop and analyse sustainable energy systems and conversion technologies through national and international collaboration.
About the research project
Interdisciplinary project with Swedish regions on how the regional level can support the energy and climate transition. Modelling of municipal energy cooperation and sectoral coupling between heating and electricity. Develop and apply a regional model of a Swedish region; utilisation of the TIMES modelling framework will be strongly suggested.
What you will do
- Develop scientific concepts in regional energy systems modelling
- Communicate results verbally and in writing
- Build collaborative links with department, project members and stakeholders
- Supervise master’s students; possibility to teach
Contract terms
Temporary full-time employment for two years with possibility of one-year extension. Physical presence required; valid residence permit by start date.

Requirements
Mandatory
- Doctoral degree in energy systems assessment and modelling or equivalent foreign degree (met no later than employment decision)
- Excellent written and verbal English
Strengthening
- Doctoral degree within the last three years prior to deadline (highly meritorious)
- Experience in energy systems assessment/modelling, local/regional systems, transitions, spatial aspects, sectoral linkages, mixed methods, stakeholder interaction
- Knowledge of Swedish or another Scandinavian language (project language is Swedish)
