Reference number: REF 2026-0323.

About us

The Department of Mathematical Sciences is a joint department between Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg. At Applied Mathematics and Statistics, research includes computational mathematics, optimisation, biomathematics, statistics, and data science.

About the research project

PRONTO models public transport networks with stochastic partial differential equations, jointly between mathematics and automatic control, combining applied mathematics, transport and systems engineering, and data science. Details: https://research.chalmers.se/en/project/12873

What you will do

  • Conduct research within the project scope independently and in a group
  • Develop scientific concepts, write manuscripts, share results with collaborators and at conferences
  • Teaching may be included on a voluntary basis (up to 20%), e.g. supervision of Bachelor’s and Master’s students

Contract terms
