Research Associate (PostDoc) - 2nd qualification period (for the initial appointment to a full professorship)

Your responsibility

research and teaching at the Institute of Mathematics, in particular in the field of mathematics – geometry and mathematical Physics

• teaching duties include exercise classes (4 semester hours for a full-time position) and seminars in mathematical and related fields

• The research focuses primarily on geometric analysis, spectral geometry, and differential geometry on singular spaces, preferably with connections to Finsler geometry, discrete geometry, or machine learning.

Your profile

• successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in mathematics

• At the time of appointment, applicants must have completed a PhD in mathematics. The PhD research, or the subsequent postdoctoral work, should have focused on geometric analysis, spectral geometry, or differential geometry.

• The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills

• teaching experience
