About this position

Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

Would you like to develop and apply advanced models that can help improve drug treatment and health? As a postdoctoral researcher in pharmacometrics at Karolinska Institutet, you will work with population PK/PD modelling, physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling, and translational modelling and simulation. The research focuses particularly on neglected tropical diseases and other infectious diseases, within an international and interdisciplinary research environment. There will also be opportunities to collaborate with other research groups and disease areas across KI.

Your mission

You will develop and apply pharmacometric methods to address clinically relevant questions about medicines and treatment. Your work will include population PK/PD analyses, PBPK modelling, and translational modelling and simulation. You will plan and conduct analyses, interpret findings, and communicate results through scientific publications and presentations. Projects will focus primarily on neglected tropical diseases and other infectious diseases, while also allowing for collaboration with other research groups and disease areas across KI. You will contribute to interdisciplinary collaborations and may take part in supervision and the development of research projects. You are also expected to contribute to grant applications with the group PI.

Your profile

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher, a PhD in a field relevant to pharmacometrics or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage. If there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
