Employment
This is permanent employment as a senior lecturer in experimental medical science, with placement at either the Department of Experimental Medical Science (EMV) or the Department of Laboratory Medicine (ILM). The department to which the employment is attached will be decided upon appointment.

Assessment criteria
The applicant must have demonstrated teaching, academic, and administrative competence relevant to the discipline; particular emphasis will be placed on teaching competence during the review process.

This is demonstrated by a proven ability to deliver teaching and summative assessment through various forms of active learning, in accordance with the Faculty of Medicine’s educational plan. The ability to lead and develop university-level education at first- and second cycle level is advantageous. The candidate’s own development work in higher education pedagogy or research projects is also advantageous.
In addition, the applicant must demonstrate research expertise by conducting his/her own current research. Research expertise is demonstrated by publications in international scientific journals, competitive grants, and experience in national and international research collaborations. In addition, research expertise is demonstrated by relevant research programs and the potential for long-term career development.
The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively and externally with the broader community.
